Before you see the doctor, an experienced ophthalmic technician will take a detailed history and perform visual testing.  If this is your first visit to Hampton Eye Physicians, we recommend that you bring a driver with you.  Sometimes it is necessary to administer drops to your pupils.  This will dilate your pupils and make it difficult for you to focus.

From the West:  Sunrise Hwy. east to the end, where it turns into a two lane highway.  Take this approx. 3 or 4 miles until you come to a traffic light just after a  Burger King Restaurant on the north (left side) of the highway.  Turn right, (you'll be traveling south) on North Sea Road.  Stay on this road until you come to what looks like a "four corners" intersection.  Saks Fifth Ave will be on one corner and the Southampton Market across the street.   At this intersection, turn left (heading east) and when you come to the second traffic light (Old Town Road), turn right (heading south).  Follow this road until you come to a stop sign.  The Southampton Hospital will be on your right and Hampton Eye Physicians will be on your left on the opposite corner. 

From the East:  Montauk Hwy west until you come to the Rte 27 and 27a merge and traffic light.    Bear to the left and follow this road (Hampton Road) to the third traffic light, the intersection of Hampton Road and Old Town Road.  Turn left (heading south) to the stop sign.  Southampton Hospital will be on your right and Hampton Eye Physicians will be on your left on the opposite corner.

The Riverhead office is located at 178 Old Country Road,  in the Peconic Plaza Shopping Ctr. by the Motor Vehicle Department.
